A lesson on insincerity! Even Mr dodgy name's proposed tax cuts while National debt is eye wateringly high , coinciding with an upcoming election is (slightly) more sincere than Shapps (or somethings) statement about Netinyeeha! Disappointed but not perturbed about Netinyeeha's unjustifiable stance is more like it!
It is NOT in Israel's gift to decide upon the future of the Palestinians and their potential Statehood. That is up to the World community and the UN, which I believe have already spoken. Once Israel's unnatural blackmail grip on powerful Countries is broken, Netinyeeha or any other Israeli leaders will have no choice but to concede to the will of the world community and abide by International Laws and norms! Israel should NOT bite the hand that feeds it!!!
This is NOT about Israel's security as a two State solution would almost Guarantee it's security as a Palestinian State left to do it's own thing without interferance would no longer have a reason to attack Israel. Israel would also have the moral as well as legal right of self defence if an independent State attacked them, as opposed to an oppressed and occupied people.
The REAL reason that Israel does not want to give Palestinians statehood is because, the more Zionist elements within Israel (including Netinyeeha) want Palestine land for Israel and Israeli settlers!
