So you think inflation is bad now? So far it has been created mostly by borrowing to pay for this man made pandemic, the more money you borrow (or print) the less it's value. I ain't no economist but I do have quite a few hats!
Now we have the price of oil rocketing past the $90 a barrel barrier for the first time in recent history. Expensive oil, petrol, diesel means everything else that needs delivered (or manufactured) is more expensive, which of course adds to inflation. Oh yes and the price of gas is sky rocketing again for reasons I have already explained (No not Putin, Blinken (or something)) The only way to slow it is to increase interest rates substantially but that can't happen because apart from ordinary people not being able to pay their mortgages, the so called government could not afford to pay interest on their Zillions of pounds of debt and like I predicted a few months ago the result is inflation!
