When asked the 'planted' question about why he said he would serve under Jeremy Corbyn, he replied with the most politically inept and defeatist answer I have ever heard by saying he only said it because he knew that he (Corbyn) would not win? In other words he is admitting that he is not to be trusted. An astute politician would have pointed out that Corbyn was democratically elected (Bliar's skullduggery aside) as leader of the Labour party and if I (Starmer) had not offered to serve, he (Corbyn) would have picked someone more left wing than myself.
