I hate to be an armchair General but I am guessing this reckless incursion is intended to move the Russian soldiers stopping Ukranian forces entering Crimea back to stop that incursion, as Crimea is the real goal. That piece of Russia has no tactical advantage as they will be forced eventually to give it back, peacefuly or militarily. It's not theirs. Ukraine on the other hand does lay claim to Crimea but Israel and it's occupied and blackmailed backers want to stop a deal being done with Russia over Crimea and kaliningrad as the brutal truth is that Israel wants to keep Russian Nuclear missiles in Kaliningrad pointed at the EU (and us). Israel is NOT our friend or ally!!!!...and as long as the US has Pro Israeli leader they (US) are not an ally either. Let's just hope Harris really is different.
