UN peacekeepers, who have a UN mandate to be in southern Lebanon have a right to defend themselves if attacked! Countries who mandated them, who have warplanes in the region, including the UK (in Cyprus) and the US (aircraft carrier in Med) should have been called in to neutralise that Israeli tank that deliberately attacked the UN watchtower and injuring UN peacekeepers. In ANY other conflict, they would have been!
Clearly, they don't want their war crimes to be witnessed by the UN, but targeting peacekeepers, is in itself a war crime.
