It seems to me that Israel and it's shameful blackmailed ally, the US are playing a cynical game of (mostly) war and peace. The carrier group led by aircraft carrier named after Jewish US civil war (monger) president Abraham Lincoln is scheduled to arrive on Friday, doubling their capacity to shoot down potential Iranian missiles aimed at Israel as is their self defence right after that unprovoked attack by Israel.
So the US has promised (fake) peace talks on Thursday in a cynical attempt to delay Iran's response until after those ships arrive. Unsurprisingly Iran are having none of it and would be silly to wait until after Friday so now the Yanks are desperately trying to get their warmongery to the middle east sooner than Friday.
