They have changed it to a King's Ransom, which kind of insinuates that he's holding a gun to someone's head.
I do believe that vital industries like energy, water, railways etc should be owned and controlled by the State, the problem only occurs when the head of State becomes blackmailed and starts, with a blackmail gun pointed at his or her head selling these vital industries to the blackmailers for peanuts. A process that started under Thatcher's Pro Israeli regime (Nigel Lawson, Rifkind, Brittan etc) in the 80's under the guise of 'privitisation'.
